Cease and Desist Rail Jam at Loon

Nov. 23 was the Cease and Desist Rail Jam at Loon Mountain. This event has been going on for years, even though the name has changed a few times, the idea of the event has not. The event usually has 3 or 4 of Loon's new park features setup for skiers to session one night, and for snowboarders to session another night. This year there was a down rail with a small kink at the end, an up U-box and a down snowmaking tube with a small kink at the end. The event attracted about 30 skiers from all over New England and it was enjoyed by all. The rails were not sticky, and the judges were very fair. So I have been working on making my own skiing website in class, and eventhough this will not have the linke posted, and though im not done, i need a link to upload the pictures for my slide show, so here is a little sneak peak.

Cannon and Loon over Thanksgiving Weekend

Cannon and Loon this Thanksgiving Weekend.

So on Thanksgiving, when most people were eating turkey with their familys, I went over to Granite Gorge, in Keene NH for a night rail jam.

Loon Opening Day!

So I was at loon for the opening day, Nov 23, and it was amazing. I was there in the morning before the rain came, but it was my fav conditions. The snow was like mashed potatoes, soft and easy to get an edge in, but it was groomed and a lot of people did not come because they thought it was gonna rain.

If you watch this video you can see that I got in video of the day. The park was super fun, nothing was to big, but the setup was just fun. There was a down box that was skinny and low to the ground, but long; there was a flat disco box, which is super wide and low to the ground; and there was a mellow down rail that was also low to the ground. All in all, super fun time and I cant wait to ride loon this winter.
